Jessica Patella ND, has written a summary from the journal: Cancer Prevention Research (2013), which states that research on animals has indicated that garlic offers a protective effect by reducing the contraction of lung cancer. - It is believed this may be because when we eat raw garlic, high levels of certain compounds (organosulfur) disperse in our lungs.
