This is a very important report on published findings from Penn State researchers, written by Curtis Rush of The Toronto Star. I have always maintained that if people can give up their 'cigarette breakfast' by replacing it with a healthy nutritious drink etc., (as suggested in my protocol in "The Winning Way to Quit Smoking"), then they will find quitting far easier. Also, in my book, I have stressed the need to have a glass of water upon waking, in order to flush out the body's toxins that have built up overnight. If smokers just wake up to a cigarette, then this just compounds the toxic load. And if they have not had any form of nourishment or supplements before the early morning smoke, then they will not have had the advantage of the antioxidants that the food, drink or supplements could supply.
